Since 1988, RBCC has had a link with Hungary. This was formed when the Hungarian Baptist Youth Choir came to Glasgow and performed in Rutherglen as part of the Baptist World Youth Conference.

Josef & Wendy Chaplar have since the visited Rutherglen regularly.
